Birth and Childhood (6 Sanskaras):

5. Namakaran: Naming ceremony, often incorporating Vedic mantras.
6. Niskramana : when the child is for the first time brought out of the home.
7. Annaprasana : or feeding the chlid with solid food such as rice boiled in milk.
8.Chudakarma : First haircutting ceremony, usually around the first or third year.
9. Karnavedh: Ear piercing ceremony, symbolic of discipline and knowledge.
Education and Youth (3 Sanskaras):
